Pearl Ex creates a metallic look without being a metal. The particles are flat platelets with two surfaces, therefore it lays down
beautifully like a thin coating of metal. The different particle sizes produce different looks—from a fine, smooth, pearly luster to a highly
metallic sheen.
It is a safe, non-toxic, inert powdered pigment with a neutral pH. It is extremely color fast and stable—it will not tarnish or fade and is
therefore ideal for archival applications.
Piñata Colors are beautiful, color-saturated, acid-free, transparent inks.

They have an alcohol base which makes them indelible and moisture resistant when
dry and allows you to use them on almost any surface as long as it's clean and oil
free. Highly versatile, Piñata can be used in a variety of applications, including rubber
stamping, fine art, fiber art, and scrap booking. Also use Piñata in calligraphy, faux
finishing techniques and airbrush applications, as well as wood and leather staining.
Try Piñata on:
  • Glass
  • Leather
  • Metal
  • Fabric
  • Wood
  • Canvas
  • Paper: coated & uncoated
  • Foiled papers

Dazzling metallic colors for fabric, paper, leather, wood and much
more!

These gorgeous metallic paints spread smoothly and stay flexible. They are a perfect
choice for fabric and leather, but are also stunning on surfaces like paper, photos, wood,
shrink plastic and even styrofoam!
The line contains traditional metallic colors as well as pearlescent, halo and hi-lite colors. The hi-lites are
practically transparent on light colors and show up beautifully on dark ones.

Whether you want a little sparkle or a lot of dazzle, there is a Lumiere color for you!
(Don't be alarmed by the name, the only acid involved is vinegar)

Jacquard Acid Dyes produce the most vibrant colors possible on
protein fibers and nylon.
These concentrated, powdered, hot water dyes are the best dyes available for silk, wool, cashmere, alpaca, feathers, and nylon.
Extremely brilliant and colorfast, these dyes are very easy to use and produce a uniform dye job.

A half ounce bottle will color up to two pounds of fiber depending on the depth of shade.
Acid dyes are water soluble anionic dyes that are applied to fibres such as silk, wool, nylon and
modified acrylic fibres from neutral to acid dye baths. Attachment to the fibre is attributed, at
least partly, to salt formation between anionic groups in the dyes and cationic groups in the
fibre. Acid dyes are not substantive to cellulosic fibres. Acid dyes are used both commercially
and by the studio dyer to dye protein/animal fibers such as wool, silk, mohair, angora, alpaca
and some nylons and synthetics. Acid dyes require the use of an acid such as vinegar to set
the colour.

Water soluble, archival, non-toxic, colourless, powder, easily mixed with water and dry pigments to form
watercolour paint.

Also as an adhesive, it forms a thin impenetrable film around particles, protecting them from oxidization
and absorption of moisture. It can be used as a thickening agent, increasing the gloss and transparency
of watercolour.

Gum Arabic is a binder medium that when mixed with dry pigments and
water produces a glossy, easy-to-brush paint. Use it for washes, glazes and
stamping.

Jacquard Acid Dye Color Chart
Acid dyes sound scary to some novices, who imagine that the dyes themselves are caustic strong acids. In fact, the dyes are non-caustic, are
in many cases non-toxic, and are named for the mild acid (such as vinegar) used in the dying process, and for the types of bonds they form to
the fiber.
This color chart represents as close to the
colors as possible.

Results will vary depending how strong a
solution is made and how long a piece is left
in the dye bath.

Always do a color test before doing
the entire piece.
